The Department of Economics recently established the Terry Ozawa Graduate Economics Fellowship in honor of faculty member Dr. Terry Ozawa. The fellowship will benefit graduate students who have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. in Economics and was established with gifts from Professor Ozawa's former students, colleagues and many friends in the profession.

Criteria

1) Full-time or part-time Economics graduate student 2) Maintain a minimum overall 2.5 GPA 3) Have completed all requirements for entry into the Ph.D. program in the Economics Department at CSU

History

Dr. Terry Ozawa's teaching philosophy revolved around the understanding that we live in a rapidly and constantly changing global economy. He believes that studying the economy presents exciting opportunities to explore new issues and go beyond textbook learning. He joined the faculty at CSU in 1968 and helped educate thousands of students over his 39 year career. His knowledge and expertise have been sought by groups outside of the academic realm and he has consulted all over the world.
