Bio

Matt is an Academic Advisor and works closely with all students who have declared Liberal Arts as their major.  He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Bowling Green State University and his Master of Fine Arts from West Virginia University. Matt spent several years teaching Composition, Creative Writing, and Literature courses at colleges across the country before settling in at CSU as an Advisor.  He strongly believes that a Liberal Arts education best prepares students for the intellectual and career challenges they will face after college.  He encourages his students to explore everything CSU has to offer, both in and out of the classroom, and to view their time in college as an opportunity to challenge themselves and broaden their life experience. Outside of work Matt is an avid football fan, reader, and writer.  He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristin, their three dogs and two cats.
