Biography

Stephanie earned a B.A. in Professional Photography with an emphasis in Commercial Advertising from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, in 2008. She went on to earn a second B.A. from Colorado State University in 2010 in Journalism and Technical Communications with a concentration in Specialized Communications.

Since graduating, her work has been largely focused on documentary photography, which has taken her across the world photographing ancient cultures and global climate change projects. Within the last two years, Stephanie has directed her attention towards developing a non-profit, Pagaba.org, which is an organization that works towards improving the maternity health care crisis in Burkina Faso, Africa.

Stephanie is excited to be back with the JTC program at CSU and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge and understanding of the current media landscape and working towards specializing in new communication technologies and health and science communication. Her goal is to continue her non-profit work in Africa, as well as to continue her documentation of agriculture in the United States and how rising temperatures will affect our ability to feed the countrys growing populations.
