Bio

Dr. Kimberly H. Conger is an expert on religious activists in state level politics and the past president of the Religion and Politics research section of the American Political Science Association.  Previously an Assistant Professor at Iowa State University, she is currently an instructor at Colorado State University.  Professor Conger’s research has been published in peer-reviewed outlets such as Political Research Quarterly, Perspectives on Politics, Politics and Religion, and State Politics and Policy Quarterly.  Her book, The Christian Right in State Republican Politics was published in 2009 by Palgrave Macmillan.  A graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois, she received her PhD from Ohio State University in 2003 and served as a Civitas fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, DC.
