Dakota is a firm believer that education should encourage a sense of pride and excitement for students, in and out of the classroom. She stands by her philosophy that a college education should develop a student’s curiosity for learning, develop their personal integrity and further their understanding necessary to participate as informed citizens of their society. She also likes to see her students challenge themselves to set and achieve high individual standards while learning to contribute intellectually, responsibly and respectfully to their world.
Outside of work, Dakota serves as a board member for the Northern Colorado Riding Club. She is an active member of the American Paint Horse and American Quarter Horse Associations and competes nationwide.
