Danielle R. Stomberg is a doctoral student in the Department of Journalism and Technical Communication.Danielle completed her masters degree at Colorado State University with a thesis examining disaster coverage of the March 2011 Japan earthquake/tsunami. Her research interests pertain to disaster events and recovery efforts, particularly as related to media and public responses. A native of Colorado, she earned her undergraduate degree from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colo., where she served capacities in student publications and as director of the colleges Cultural Diversity Board. She has also worked as a photographer for theGrand Junction Daily Sentinel.
