JTC Professor is Public Relations Society’s Educator of the Year

The Department of Journalism and Technical Communication’s Kirk Hallahan is the Public Relations Society of America’s Educator of the Year. Professor Hallahan received the award during PRSA’s international conference in Washington D.C., October 19. Hallahan has been teaching in the Department since 1996. Before that he taught at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and at the University of Wisconsin, Madison while a doctoral student. Hallahan worked in public relations, marketing and public affairs for 19 years before beginning his teaching career. He is a member of the PRSA College of Fellows and a long time adviser to CSU’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
