Nathan J. Citino received a fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies for academic year 2011 – 2012 to support his research on the politics of modernization in U.S. – Arab relations, 1945 – 1967. Dr. Citino conducted archival research in College Park, MD, Washington, D.C., and Kew, England while on research leave during 2011–2012
Jared Orsi was one of six faculty members who received a CSU Alumni Association 2012 Best Teacher Award. Other nominees from the History Department for the 2012 award included Pamela Vaughan Knaus, Kelly Ann Long, and Daniel Stephen.
Thaddeus Sunseri received a grant from the German Academic Exchange program to support archival research in Berlin for a transnational study of cattle disease and cattle economies.
