CSU Sociology professor helping Gulf disaster victims recover

CSU’s Lori Peek, working with Columbia University, has helped establish a youth development and recovery program at selected Gulf Coast high schools.
The SHOREline Project, a partnership between CSU’s Center for Disaster and Risk Analysis, Columbia’s National Center for Disaster Preparedness, and the Children’s Health Fund, enlists students at five participating high schools to perform community service and outreach in areas ravaged in recent years by the BP/Deepwater Horizon oil spill (2010), Hurricane Katrina (2005), and other major disasters….(to continue reading the story see http://www.today.colostate.edu/story.aspx?id=8981)
