The Department of Sociology is pleased to congratulate Alyssa Dawson on the successful defense of her Sociology M.A. thesis, “Mothers in Relationships with Sex Offenders: Understanding Life Experiences.” While a graduate student at Colorado State University, Alyssa worked as a teaching assistant and as a graduate research assistant at the Center for Disaster and Risk Analysis.
We would like to thank the friends, family members, and students who attended the defense. And, of course, a special thanks to Alyssa’s committee members: Dr. Lori Peek (committee chair), Dr. Tara Opsal, Dr. Jennifer Cross, and Dr. Jennifer Harman.
Please join us in congratulating Alyssa and wishing her all the best as she begins her new position as a Youth and Family Transition Facilitator at the Matthews Housein Fort Collins. This organization will undoubtedly benefit from Alyssa’s considerable skills and talents.
