Formed at CSU in 2009, the quartet – Leo Thomas Canale, Eric Hollenbeck, Jeremy Maytum and Shilo Stroman – champion a wide variety of percussion instruments and styles with a special interest in new music. The quartet operates as an educational outreach by bringing fresh music to new ears. The exciting program includes Threads by Paul Lansky, Room for 4 by Thomas Naziola, Shaken, Not Stirred by Michael Daugherty and Caminito de San Cristobal and Los Chuntaes y Abre Campo, traditional pieces arranged by Laurence Kaptain for Mexican marimba.
