Returning for its eighth residency year at CSU, the Borromeo String Quartet – Nicholas Kitchen, violin; Kristopher Tong, violin; Mai Motobuchi, viola; and Yeesun Kim, cello – is one of the most sought after string quartets in the world. “The Borromeos always have me on the edge of my chair with their propulsive, suspenseful phrasing,” said Lloyd Schwartz of The Boston Phoenix. This concert features Bach’s St. Anne Fugue, Bartók’s String Quartet No. 4, and the Dvořák String Quartet No. 11 in C, op.61.
