Enjoy an extraordinary evening of innovative contemporary and classical dance presented by dance faculty, students, and guest artists. This fall, it features special guests Caitlin Valentine-Ellis and Christopher Ellis from the Colorado Ballet. Read more.

caitlin-headshot2010Caitlin Valentine-Ellis was born in New Jersey, where she began her training before moving to Orlando, Florida. Valentine-Ellis was offered a contract at the age of 16 by Fernando Bujones to join Orlando Ballet as a full company member. In Orlando Ballet, Valentine-Ellis performed numerous soloist and principal roles including Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Cinderella in Cinderella, Lise in La Fille mal Gardee, the Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Guinevere in Camelot, and Cupid in Don Quixote, among others.  She has also performed the grande pas de deuxes from Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, and La Bayadere and principal roles in George Balanchine works including Serenade, Who Cares?, Allegro Brillante and Stars and Stripes. chris-headshot2010Christopher Ellis was born in Chicago, Illinois and began his training with Maniya Barredo at the Metropolitan Ballet Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, receiving the Mannie Rowe Memorial Scholarship. At the age of 18, Ellis joined the Orlando Ballet as a company member, under the direction of Fernando Bujones. During his four seasons with Orlando Ballet, Ellis danced a variety of soloist and principal roles including Prince Charming and the Jester in Cinderella, the Cavalier and Prince in The Nutcracker, King Arthur and Mordred in Camelot, and the Don Quixote pas de deux. Ellis has also performed in several of Fernando Bujones’ classical and contemporary choreographic works, as well as George Balanchine’s Agon, Who Cares?, Allegro Brillante, Theme and Variations and the Stars and Stripes pas de deux.
